Soo Line Steam from the Collection of Harold Vollrath

Soo Line L-20 Mikado 3001 at Shoreham.  Photo taken October 1953. Another WC engine, though used all over the system as were most WC engines after Soo leased WC in 1909. The L-20s were most similar to the L-1 Mikados (like 1003), and as it has no coal in the tender was either just in off a train or possibly waiting its' fate in a "funeral train", going to scrap. Soo Line was completely dieselized (except for special excursions) by 1955.
