Soo 767 West, Plymouth, MN
Soo 767 and a sister CP SD40-2 power CP's train 575 through
the Minneapolis suburb of Plymouth, MN on May 10, 1998. CP and Soo
SD40-2s were the Paynesville Sub's most common road power until the arrival
of the new GE's in August 1998. The train has just passed MP 10, which
means the crew has about 110 miles ahead of them until the crew change point
of Glenwood. Because of congestion around the Twin Cities 6-10 hour
trips are not uncommon between St. Paul and Glenwood.
