A solid Soo Line lash-up leads a westbound through Hamel, MN in September 1998. All-Soo lash-ups are becoming increasingly rare through Hamel and other places on the Paynesville Sub. The new CP GEs are becoming the normal mainline power, bumping the Soo units to other parts of the system. Soo units will always look more at home on the ex-Soo track, like the Paynesville Subdivision.
