Diesel Locomotives, 1986-1990

Just prior to the Soo-Milwaukee merger, much experimenting was done with the idea of a logo for the combined companies. This mostly disappeared after the merger was affected. The "Soo-Milwaukee System", though, was a marketing idea just the same in 1985. Here the logo was applied to what appears to have been a Minneapolis, Northfield and Southern (!) caboose. Soo acquired the MN&S, a Minnesota short line, in 1982 and merged it in 1986, along with the Milwaukee.
