Diesel Locomotives, 1986-1990
It's fun to look back at old photos and see the vintages of
the automobiles and the railroad paint schemes. This photo taken at the
former Milwaukee Road's St. Paul Yard shows just how busy a place the yard
can become. Soo Line SD40-2 787 and an unidentified former Milwaukee Road
sister appear to have just cut off of a cut of cars behind caboose 58. The
date is April 5, 1986 and the merger is four months old.
