Diesel Locomotives, 1986-1990
Because of the merger with the Milwaukee Road, Soo Line trains
began showing up in unusual places in the Twin Cities (at least, unusual
in that they normally didn't go there so often only a year earlier). One
of those was the big yard in St. Paul, MN, commonly called Pig's Eye Yard.
The merger is about four months old at the time of this photo, March 23,
1986 at the entrance to St. Paul Yard. All-Soo consists would become less
frequent as time went forward.
