Diesel Locomotives, 1986-1990

It's amazing how locomotives can look so nice and shiny when new, but become so grimy and dirty in short order. I suspect that Soo Line SD60 6025 and a sister, seen here at Dolton, IL (near Chicago) on May 15, 1989 are recently outshopped by GM's Electro-Motive Division and are probably working one of their first freight assignments. They were delivered to the Soo in March 1989, so it's a good bet they didn't stay that shiny for long.
