Railroad Depot Photos

This depot, in the town of Moline, Illinois, serves as offices for the Quad City Convention and Visitor's Bureau. Just east of downtown Moline, and within sight of the Mississippi River, this depot has been threatened with demolition, depending on the route of the proposed new Interstate 74 bridge (the current spans are due west of the depot). For now, however, it serves nicely as an office and landmark in the Quad City area. (Incidentally, the railroad that built this depot is unknown to the webmaster--it's been identified as Burlington, Rock Island and Milwaukee Road, all of which served the city of Moline....if I determine whose it is, I will change this page accordingly).
